We need some furniture for my office nook in the bedroom, and David said he’ll build us this!
Except he’s totally going to use the plans from Ana White, formerly known as Knock Off Wood.
If that goes well and he survives the project with limbs intact, I think we’ll do as Liz @ Bon Temps Beignet suggested and build our farmhouse table!
Hope our neighbors like the sound of circular saws and cursing! Woohoo!
(Have you tread new ground in the world of DIY recently?)

LOL! David is learning… he seems really keen on learning to be handy. I think this is a great project for him!
i’m looking forward to staining it & finding all the nameplates :-)
yea yea yea! The labels take it from Ikea to custom. Love it.
i need to find a hobby lobby ’round these parts!
Swoon! There’s nothing as romantic and sexy as a hubby working that circular saw!
*so* happy that he decided to take it up as a hobby! i love it!
I like the design of your site. It fits your topic. I always wanted to be handy around the house. I can assemble things but to build it from scratch? Nope. It sounds like a good “couple” project.
Found you through the 31 Day challenge. Good luck

i try to be handy, but have horrrrrible coordination. most of my projects come out kinda lousy, but i’m so proud afterward, it doesn’t bother me as much!
I absolutely love Ana…she has enabled us to build several pieces of furniture recently, including our master bed!
Hi-I just came across your site. I love this shelf! I have a similar one but mine is much cheaper looking, not nearly so cute. How lucky you are to have a husband who will make it! Janae
