New Feature: Weekend Warrior Link Party!

by Emily Steers on 08/09/2012

Happy Friday, everyone! We’ve just about made it through another one. ┬áNow, you may have noticed the title on this here blog post– yeah, I’ve decided to start hosting a Link Party every Friday called “Weekend Warrior.”

Both David and I work full-time jobs, so most of our projects take place between 5pm Friday and 8am Monday morning. We are– probably like you guys– true “weekend warriors” who only have 48 scant hours to complete every DIY, home cooking and renovation effort every week.

I’ve also been feeling like this blog is becoming less of a conversation and more of a “talking head” situation– something I don’t particularly care for. I love learning from my friends and readers, so I hope you’ll participate in this new feature, by linking to your past posts and projects. I’m hoping that the Weekend Warrior post can serve as a jumping off point for future projects!

You can also tell me that link parties are lame, and that you don’t want to participate. But I kind of like them, so … I’ll take the comments and maybe tell you to stop being a sourpuss. That’s an option.

As it goes, the Weekend Warrior project is going to be fairly straightforward– link to individual posts, and I’d be much obliged if you linked back to The Happy Home. Each week, I’d like to pull out some of my favorite projects to feature, too!

I love this idea. I’m hoping to be a Weekend Warrior starting this upcoming weekend…perhaps I will use this inspiration to actually do something!
